This is the last one from the archives, before we go away again next week.  The pictures are from a holiday in Gradil, north of Lisbon, a few years ago.  We stayed on a quinta, which is a wine producing farm.  We had our own courtyard, with quince and palm trees, overlooked by the wine store and the farm’s private chapel. Definitely the best holiday accommodation I have ever had.

Whitewashed houses of Gradil

The village of Gradil, with its whitewashed houses. We were woken every morning by lots of dogs barking!

A view of the quinta, looking down from the vineyards

This was the courtyard that went with our apartment

Painted tile

Lots of the village houses had tile pictures on the walls
